Bloodwood Tree Association is an incorporated, not-for-profit Aboriginal organisation based in South Hedland. Bloodwood Tree provides services for the homeless, unemployed, those affected by alcohol and drug use, and people in need. Drug & Alcohol counselling, education, group therapies, referrals, case management and support are all a core component of our operations.

The Driver/Training Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the Driver Training program,
Driver Training Instructor duties consist of the following:
- Assist in addressing personal governance issues;
- Assist with resolving suspensions of Motor Drivers Licence (MDL);
- Preparation for Learners Permit theory test;
- Practical driving instruction by qualified driving instructors;
- Assistance for undertaking Department of Transport practical driving assessment;
- Supervision of driving to satisfy log book hours required for a provisional MDL;
- Assist with hazard perception test and application for MDL;
- Education and awareness of legal requirements and personal responsibilities for maintaining a MDL and vehicle registrations.
- Remote travel is required each quarter to Newman and Tom Price.
Following Skills are required:
- ‘C” Class Driver’s License held for a minimum of 4 continuous years and be over 21 years of age; however, Bloodwood Tree will provide support and training opportunities to assist the Driving Instructor to develop these skills;
- Ability to work with Aboriginal people caught up in the Justice system
- Remote travel each quarter
- Excellent time management and organisation skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Computer experience and ability to work unsupervised.
- Have or a willingness to obtain a Police Clearance and valid work with children check.
